'Britannia' by Nina Falaise 04/08/2013
These paintings are a series from meditation work I am doing with a group called 'The Magickal Battle of Britain.' As written in the group page:-
"Life is not sustainable without freedom.
This event is directed towards fighting oppression, censorship and control of expression. We are not concerned about which angle your approach comes from, but about where it is directed.
Freedom to express and create is essential for human development, and around the world this freedom has been steadily undermined in an exponential way, that is near impossible to keep track of, let alone protest.
The title of this group, ‘The Magickal Battle of Britain' harks back to a time when war was necessarily fought on other levels, in less than conventional ways.
Our freedom can be fought for with our own weapons. The weapons of art and magick, or if you prefer, the weapons of art and suspension of disbelief." The group is still actively working on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/events/553757541348884/?fref=ts and there is a website being constructed to make it easier to follow the threads of meditation results, discussions and "media feeds on the Sunday's and Monday's since we started our meditations on August 4th, to see what may affect our workings and see what our meditations may effect."
The first of my meditation paintings is of Britannia. She is victorious, yet there is a feeling that this is just the beginning of our battle to save our land and our freedom.

After my meditation of 29/09/2013, my intuitive side, the little voice within, knew that my work for The Magickal Battle of Britain, had come to an end. I was a little disappointed. But I accepted this, knowing that the work will carry on, and it is not for me to say how this is done, or what the outcome will be. We are all in it together; pieces in the jigsaw puzzle, of which we may catch a glimpse of the overall picture some time in our life. However, the greater picture may not be revealed in our lifetime.
10/11/2013 Sometimes, the work one is doing in a meditation group spills over to a later meditation without one realising it. This painting is from one of those unexpected meditations at a later date. 'The Fall of Atlantis', came about as a result of a conversation with a fellow artist. Before painting this picture, I meditated on the subject of Atlantis. As a result, a message came through loud and clear, and almost as if it was a warning to us today...that the reason Atlantis fell, was because they had forgotten to honour the Goddess in their temples and more importantly, to love, respect and honour the Goddess/Nature, in every day life. A friend asked me, what I was feeling as I painted this. I answered saying that there was
a feeling of calm sadness, letting go, washing away, and burning all that no
longer served its purpose...then my friend asked me about the "letting go" and what that might mean metaphysically in the painting.....I answered that it means that the goddess had to let go of Her children. A most
terrible thing for a Mother to have to do. For,
whether her children loved Her or not, whether they did wonderful things or
terrible things..She loves them all.
